What is a sponsorship gift?
A sponsorship gift is a one-time or monthly recurring gift of $25 or more made in honor of an adoptable pet at TARA. You can sponsor a pet in your own name, your company or organization name, or in honor or memory of a special pet or person.
Which pets can I sponsor?
You can choose any adoptable pet at TARA to sponsor! Visit Our Dogs or Our Cats to see our current pets for adoption.
Are sponsorship gifts a one-time donation or recurring?
It’s your choice! A one-time donation of $25 or more will sponsor a pet for 30 days. If you choose to make recurring monthly donations of $25 or more, we will contact you when your sponsored pet gets adopted so that you may choose another pet to sponsor.
How is my sponsorship acknowledged?
We will display a photo of your sponsored pet on our web site with the sponsor’s name. If you do not want the sponsor name displayed, we will list the pet sponsor as Anonymous.
What does my sponsorship go toward?
TARA’s costs for caring for a homeless pet typically range anywhere from $200 to $2000, depending on their medical needs and how long they are with us. Your donation helps us cover the costs for your sponsored pet, and if those costs have been met, your donation will help other pets in our care.
